Vacuum heat treatment of H13 steel aluminum die casting die

China's current die casting mold generally has a life span of 20,000 to 30,000 times, lower than the level of 100,000 times in Japan, the United States, Germany and other developed countries. The general distortion requirement of die casting die is less than or equal to 0.08mm; Adopt the nitriding mould first conditioning to 28-32 HRC gas nitriding layer of 0.20 0.40 mm, deeply hardness for HV5 700-800, distortion < 0.06 mm. 3 cr2w8v, H13, Y10, TS 2344, QR090 etc all kinds of aluminum die-casting die steel, Good technical and economic benefits can be obtained by using quenching and tempering pretreatment and vacuum subquenching tempering plus layer nitrocarburizing.

For 3Cr2W8V and H13 moulds with less complex structure, the pre-treatment of quenching and tempering can reduce the distortion by 1/3 to 1/2, and the hardness can be controlled to be less than or equal to HRC 23, which is convenient for finishing. In addition to quenching and tempering, the die with complex mechanism is subjected to stress relief annealing at 600-650℃x 4 hours before finishing, and then subjected to sub-temperature heating and quenching at 70℃ lower than normal quenching temperature. The vacuum sub-temperature quenching process table is shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2.

   Shallow carburitriding after mild quenching and tempering can reduce the phenomenon of aluminum sticking mold. Nitrocarburizing process is 570℃x 2-3 hours, the penetration depth is 0.05-0.10mm, and the surface hardness is HV5 750-800.
