AISI 8620 steel forging process:
The forging temperature should be between 925℃ and 1230℃. AISI 8620 has a low carbon content and is less likely to break than medium or high carbon steel, so it can be heated and cooled more quickly.It should be as short as possible to avoid scaling and excessive grain growth.The lower the forging end temperature is, the finer the grain size is.Do not forge below the minimum forging temperature below 850°C.The alloy should be cooled in sand.
