Performance & Application of Cold Work Tooling Steel SKD11

SKD11 is a general purpose cold work tool steel with high wear resistance and toughness, high carbon and high chromium alloy tool steel and vacuum degasing refined steel. The steel is pure and has good hardenability, good hardenability and small quenching deformation.

After spheroidizing annealing and softening treatment, the steel has good machinability and fine and even carbide particles.

Because of the special addition of molybdenum and vanadium, there is no need to worry about quenching cracking.

The specific properties of SKD11 die steel are as follows:

A. Good high temperature strength and toughness, good wear resistance, easy cutting;

B. Cold work die steels with good strength, toughness and heat balance.

C. Vacuum degassing refining, so the internal quality is extremely clean.

D. Good machinability.

E. Good hardenability, air cooling can harden, no need to worry about quenching.

F. The heat treatment deformation less, quenching deviation less the most suitable for the mold with precision requirements.

G. Excellent wear resistance, most suitable for use as rust steel or high hard material die.

H. Good toughness.

I. Mold life is longer and performance is more stable.

J. It is easy to process, heat treatment deformation with less.
