1.2080 steel is standard die steel, with high harden-ability, high hardness, high wear resistance, quenching deformation correction and good toughness.
Introduction :

Annealing state, hardness ≤255HBW;Spheroidized annealing state, hardness ≤245HBW.
(3) Chemical composition
Typical chemical composition of the steel (mass fraction) examples :C2.10%, S≤0.03%, P≤0.030%, Si≤0.40%, Mn≤0.60%, Cr11.50%~11.30%, V0.8 %, Mn0.9%.
Specification for quenching and tempering:
The first preheating temperature of 500~ 550°C, the second preheating temperature of 800~850 °C, quenching temperature of 1030℃-1050°C, oil quenching, oil quenching can also be 200℃ air cooling, tempering temperature of 500°C, air cooling after tempering, tempering two times.
Delivery Condition:
EAF+(ESR) or EAF+LF+VD+(ESR), Hot rolled or Forged, Annealed, Hardness≤250HB,
Unmachined or Machined surface (Peeled, Turned, Milled, Grinded), UT 100% Passed
Industrial Application:
1) It is used for all kinds of cold stamping dies, cold cutting blades and silk rubbing boards with high tolerance and long service life.
2) Suitable for complex moulds that may be deformed.
