T1 die steel can be roughly divided into three categories: cold-rolled die steel, hot-rolled die steel and plastic die steel, T1 die steel are used for forging, stamping, cutting, and die-casting. Due to the different purposes of various molds and complex working conditions, the steel used for molds should have high hardness, strength, wear resistance, sufficient toughness, and high harden-ability and harden-ability according to the working conditions of the molds manufactured.
Due to the different uses and complex working conditions of this type steel , the performance requirements for mold steel are also different.
ASTM T1 is a widely used tungsten series general-purpose high-speed steel with high hardness, red hardness and high temperature hardness, and it is easy to grind.
ASTM T1 is suitable for cutting, planing, milling, reaming, drawing, drills, various gears, taps, dies, etc., which can still maintain cutting performance under 600℃.
ASTM T1 is suitable for processing soft or medium hardness 300~320HB below) materials and high temperature wear-resistant mechanical parts.
ASTM T1 Mechanical properties:
Hardness: Delivery hardness: (other processing methods) ≤269HB; (annealing) ≤255HB. Sample heat treatment system and quenching and tempering hardness: ≥63HRC
● Heat treatment specification and metallographic structure: (salt bath furnace) or 1270~1 fire 2 times, 1h each time.
●Delivery status:
Hot-rolled, forged, and cold-drawn steel bars are delivered in annealed state, and hot-rolled and forged steel bars are delivered after processing by annealing + other processing methods (skinning, light drawing, polishing or polishing, etc.).
T1 high speed steel
This kind of high-speed steel has good hardness, hot hardness, wear resistance and grind-ability.
1.T1 heat treatment hardness can reach 67-70HRC, but some special heat treatment methods are also used to obtain 67-68HRC hardness, which improves its cutting performance (especially interrupted cutting) and improves impact toughness.
2.T1 cobalt high-speed steel can be made into various tools, which is very effective for cutting difficult-to-machine materials, and because of its good grinding performance, it can be made into complex tools.
But T1 China is lack of cobalt resources, and cobalt high-speed steel is expensive, about 5-8 times that of ordinary high-speed steel.
3.T1 high-speed steel is a high-alloy steel containing a large amount of carbon (C), tungsten (W), molybdenum (Mo), chromium (Cr), vanadium (V) and other elements, and has high thermal hardness after heat treatment.
4. T1 When the cutting temperature is higher than 600°C, the hardness still does not decrease significantly, and the cutting speed of the tools made by it can reach more than 6 meters per minute.
5. T1 high-speed steel can be divided into ordinary high-speed steel and high-performance high-speed steel according to chemical composition, and can be divided into molten high-speed steel and powder metallurgy high-speed steel according to manufacturing process.
6. T1 ordinary high-speed steel is the main material for manufacturing tools with complex shapes and difficult to grind.
