1.2718 Description :
1.2718 alloy has good plasticity in hot working process and good deformation performance.Forging heating temperature 1170℃, final forging 900℃.
Corrosion resistance of cold working alloy die steel:
Due to its high chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen content, Duplex exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in most cases against 1.2718 cold-work alloy die steel and 1.2718 cold-work alloy die steel.Even in oxidized and acidic solutions, the chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen contents provide high pitting and crevice corrosion resistance to chloride ferrite.
1.2718 Cold working alloy die steel heat resistance:
1.2718 Cold-worked alloy die steel has good oxidation resistance at high temperatures, including embrittlement even in a short time at temperatures higher than 572°F (300°C);
Welding characteristics of cold working alloy die steel:
Good weld-ability.
Cold work alloy die steel is a high carbon nickel-ferrochrome alloy with the addition of microalloying elements titanium and zirconium as well as aluminum and yttrium.It is usually supplied in a solution annealed state with an oxidized or descaling surface.The alloy has excellent creep property at high temperature.Excellent oxidation resistance at higher temperatures, even under cyclic conditions.It also has excellent resistance to high temperature corrosion and carburizing and oxidized/chlorinated media as well as metal dust conditions.
