1.2767 steel :
1.2767 it is the typical plastic mould steel with the maximum annealing hardness is 285HB generally .
1.2767 Features :
The steel has good wear resistance, high toughness, high hardness, high compressive strength, excellent dimensional stability, excellent corrosion resistance,good polishing and cutting performance, easy to achieve mirror effect.
And excellent harden-ability, air hardening, excellent machining performance.
1.2767 the Main Applications:
A heavy duty high toughness impression die
A high stress injection mold is required
A heavy duty cold working tool
A cutting tool
The brightness of this steel can reach 90% under normal condition (without liquid).
Polishing process is as follows:
1. Polish the surface with an oilstone strip (from rough to fine) as follows :#320->800->1200->3000
2. Use sandpaper (from rough to fine) to polish the surface as follows :#1200->1500->2000->3000
3. Polish directly with #1 diamond plaster.
All the above procedures have basically reached the mirror effect, if it is found that some part of the effect is not ideal,
you can do it again according to the above procedures, the problem will be solved.
Note: Sanding #1500 and 2000 sandpaper needs to be repeated twice with cross method
Due to the high purity of steel, uniform material, so the polishing performance is superior, can reach a high mirror processing.
Note: it is not easy to apply too much pressure during polishing to avoid surface defects.
