4130 structural steel has high strength and toughness, high harden-ability, critical harden-ability diameter in oil 15~70mm;
The steel also has good thermal strength. It has sufficient high temperature strength below 500℃, but its strength decreases significantly at 550℃.When the alloy element is in the lower limit, the welding is quite good, but when it is close to the upper limit, the weldability is medium, and the welding needs to be preheated to more than 175℃ before welding.The steel has good machined-ability and moderate plasticity during cold deformation.The first kind of temper brittleness occurs in the range of 300~350℃ during heat treatment.Have a tendency to form white spots.
Application of 4130:
This steel 4130 is usually used in the quenched and tempered state, when the carbon content of the lower limit of steel can also be used as a requirement of higher core strength of carburized steel.In the medium machinery manufacturing industry, it is mainly used for manufacturing large section and tempering parts working under high stress conditions, such as shaft, spindle and high load control wheel, bolt, stud, gear, etc.;In the chemical industry used to manufacture welding parts, plate and pipe welding structure and in the nitrogen-hydrogen medium working temperature does not exceed 250℃ high pressure conduit;In the steam turbine, boiler manufacturing industry for the production of fasteners below 450℃, 500℃ under high pressure flange and flange cover.
