E52100 steel from ASTM A29 standard .E52100 steel it is the typical bearing steel in American standard .
E52100 steel with high carbon, chromium alloy is stocked in the annealed condition.
E52100 steel is manufactured by the electric furnace process. Typically the quenched hardness is 62 to 66 HRC depending mainly upon section thickness.
Grade E52100 is used primarily for races and balls or rollers of rolling-element (anti-friction) bearings. The grade is also suitable for parts requiring high hardness and wear resistance.
