Cr12MoV steel is a cold work die steel, steel harden ability, quenching and tempering hardness, wear resistance, strength are much higher than Cr12 steel.Cr12MoV steel is suitable for cold die material, it belongs to alloy tool steel.
Cr12MoV steel chemical composition: % carbon: 1.45 ~ 1.7 silicon: 0.4 or less manganese: 0.4 or less sulfur: 0.03 or less phosphorus: 0.03 or less,Copper nickel complex: 11 ~ 12.5:0.25 or less: 0.3 v or less: 0.15 ~ 0.3 mo: 0.4 ~ 0.6.
Cr12MoV steel mechanical properties: Cr12MoV steel quenching hardness can reach 60 HRC or higher,Annealing hardness :255~207HBS.The diameter of 300~400 mm of the working piece can be completely quenched, quenching deformation is small, but the high temperature plasticity is poor, and it is used to manufacture a large section, complex shape, heavy work load of various molds and tools.
Heat treatment range of Cr12MoV steel: quenching temperature 950~1000 degrees, oil cooling method.The cutting speed and cutting amount of Cr12MoV rough steel are matched :Vc= 50M /mm, AP =2~2.5mm, F =0.2r/mm.

Cr12MoV steel has higher harden-ability, hardening and tempering hardness, wear resistance and strength than Cr12.All kinds of cold stamping dies and tools with complex shapes and heavy working conditions, such as punching die, cutting die, rolling die, steel plate drawing die, circular saw, standard tools and gauges, thread rolling die, etc.
Cr12MoV domestic and there are many derivative products: Cr8 Cr12 / Cr12MoV/Cr12Mo1V1, etc.
